Little Fremont catches a nap!

Little Fremont catches a nap!

First of all– YES I have my new puppy and have taken TONS of photos — I will have a complete gallery and posting up soon, I promise! In the meantime, let me introduce to the world Fremont Tanky Boy Dziezynski! This sweet little guy was born in Wyoming and was thus dubbed with the named Fremont after Fremont Peak, one of the first technical mountains I climbed on my NOLS course in 1998 (my first time to Wyoming). In turn, the peak was named after John C. Fremont, a great explorer of the olden days. Oh and the “Tanky Boy”?  Just his foster nickname!

I have been giving all my time and attention (and a few hours of lost sleep) to the little guy, who has actually been quite an exquisite puppy. He doesn’t love the crate at night and whimpers a bit, but otherwise he’s getting a knack for potty training, is relatively agreeable with Xanadu and loves to romp and play!

Due to my puppy tunnel vision and general lack of awareness with all things global, I’m out of the loop with news of the world. Yes, I know the evil empire won the world series (bleh). I keep getting constant news updates about someone/something called Lady Gaga, turns out it/she is also a singer. Who knew? And did you guys hear, Michael Jackson died?!

Anyhow, outside of being a bit tired and on constant chew patrol, the puppy has been a lot of fun. Cheers to a lifetime of adventure with Fremont!!
