Any metal-loving fan worth his flying-V knows that a majority of heavy metal has its roots in classical music; Gioachino Rossini would have fit nicely in Iron Maiden. And speaking of Italians, my favorite Italian drummer (um, and probaly the only one I know) Vadrum has this cool clip of "The Barber of Seville" that is worth giving a listen. I've actually emailed this guy a couple of times to chat music, he seems like an awesome dude (some of his other drum compositions on youtube: Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, William Tell Overture, MacGuyver and the Simpsons). I especially like how he tunes his toms to play the actual notes of the song at parts--cool stuff! Enjoy!
