I look around what I do have. A little cat I rescued from a shelter. A book with my name on the cover. You know that theoretical example of "if I died tomorrow.." what would I have on my tombstone? Proud cat owner, great NES player, above average at skee ball.
My point is my life is essentially inconsequential in a practical sense. If I shipped off to Antarctica tomorrow, I wouldn't leave much behind in Boulder except the oil stains in my parking spot when my filter exploded. I'm hoping to ground some things in the next few weeks and defy that vagueness of seemless being.
Kind of emo, I know but after 8 years of just "getting by" I'm ready for phase 2 of Boulder, which is like phase 1 in a more conventional life.
In other words: buy my book, several copies if possible :)
