Much Afoot!

After a few days back from Trinidad and Tobago, I'm finally getting my Boulder bearings again! The little fellow in my hands is a baby leatherback turtle I helped rescue in the early morning of my first day on in Trinidad. There's so many stories to tell from the adventure, from biking to bat caves, kayaking, snorkeling and a LOT of windy mountain roads! You can check out my traveling companion Wayne's photo gallery here (warning: there IS a bloody leg picture from a spill I had in the jungle!)

Travel always disorients me in a positive way; one night I'm watching a clutch of turtles being born under the Caribbean moonlight, the next I'm back in Boulder scrambling for a few extra dollars to repair a busted muffler. For a few days, the tribulations of everyday life aren't that big of deal. It was great to see Xanadu again and the mountains are wonderful as always, but it's the bills and all that junk that makes me want to stay lost in the jungle a little longer.

And for those who haven't seen, my book is about to "go live" as the internerds would say. I still have a few minor details to add in...but it will be on the shelves very soon! Now, I have to resume this "work" thing most of us do for whatever reason. I'll be writing again soon!
