New website and blog stuff is happenin' in the background, may have something up soon.

This weekend I am lucky to have Mystic with me as Sheila heads off on an adventure that doesn't allow dogs. We'll be getting in some mountain time, relaxing a bit and generally just goofing off and having fun. As many of you know, Mystic is a champ in the mountains (with several 14ers under his belt...er, collar) and we may hit up a big 13er or just play locally. Either way it's going to be a blast.
I also hope to have my new web site moved soon, so if the blog mysteriously disappears, don't worry-- it's just in transition. I'm moving to a new host and hoping to incorporate all other aspects of the site (minus the blog) into Drupal's CMS. I realize that as much fun as CSS and Dreamweaver is, it's too much work when there are free content management systems out there for the taking.
Can't believe it's May already--heck almost June. My 100 days of mtn biking are not looking too good, with a mere 13 after Talus' 6 week sickness. But hopefully this weekend will find me on the trails somewhere fun!!

We did everything we possibly could to help Talus, including getting him the best medical care possible. Combined, the bills come to just over $7,000 -- WBCR is offering a generous donation of $3,000 which has a huge added benefit -- if they pay the majority share of the bill, the entire bill is reduced by 25% (which would be 25% off of my share of $3,000, a big help). WBCR put their entire rescue organization on the line to help Talus and stepped up, not knowing if they'd find the funds. If they don't meet their goal by May 24th, the organization will be in serious financial trouble (not to mention me too, as I'll have to take on the rest of the bills sans discount).
Any little bit to help would be awesome - thanks so much.

I thought about writing more about Talus but it's better to just find a way to move forward. As always, I appreciate everyone's good thoughts and I'm sure I'll have some new adventures to report soon. Until then, I don't have too much to offer.

Even though he was only in my life a short time, I loved him as deeply as I've ever loved anything in this life. He was my buddy, my dog and of course, he was a good boy. My life is going to feel very, very empty without him on my bed at night and beside me on the trail. I asked him for a sign and the last few times I've been with him, he has cried out... and I need to let him continue on this amazing, unknown journey.
Thank you all for the great wishes, prayers, thoughts and heartfelt kindness. Talus made friends easily, was a king amongst dogs and he was my friend.
I will miss him terribly.
