Change of Scenery

For those not in the loop, the big(ish) news is that I’ll be moving on December 1st! After a nearly 10-year run at Aspen Grove (in two different units) I’ll be going west to a sweet stand-alone townhouse right near Wonderland Lake. Awesome, quiet location, very nice place and tons and tons of sunlight! It’s got a nice fenced in porch for the critters and I am literally a 30 second walk to the trails by Wonderland Lake. It’s a little pricey, but with all the writing projects I have coming up in 2010 I’ll be cutting back on a few expenses (fare thee well premium cable, I shall miss ye Mythbusters and oddly enough, MMA Fighting).

Other big December news is that I’ll be driving home for the holidays this year, mainly because I’ll have Fremont with me. He’s still a wee pup so he’s gonna stick with me until he’s big enough to spend the holidays at doggy camp or with friends. I may try to snag a few highpoints on the way back too (mid-west ahoy!) Xanadu will be taken care of by trusted friends. Hopefully, she’ll be comfy and content at the new place so that she’ll have the run of the roost!

I’m also hoping to squeeze in a mountain adventure in the next few weeks, I still have quite a bit of vacation time to use and hopefully will be able to enjoy it over the holidays and then some. This Friday, I went to the Adventure Film Fest here in Boulder and it got me a bit fired up for some bigger mountain adventures this winter! There’s snow on the ground, a chill in the air and change is all around!
